Sherlock Season 4: 9 Big Questions After 'The Lying Detective'

1. Is She Behind 'Miss Me?' Or Was She Working With Moriarty?

Moriarty's 'Miss Me?' taunting of Sherlock has been recurring since the end of Series 3, and we still don't know what it really means, or who is behind it.

This episode, though, offers a strong hint at the involvement of Eurus, with the message contained in the note she gives Sherlock (under the guise of Smith's daughter).

This offers up a few possibilities. One (and the least likely) is that she's aware of what it means to Sherlock, and like Mary is just using it to get his attention now.

Another is that she has been behind it all along. Knowing Moriarty would get his attention, she's been pulling the strings of the campaign, and pretending the Sherlock's villain is back in some form, in order to suck him into whatever game she's playing.

The final option is that she is, somehow, working with Moriarty. Knowing the way Moriarty's mind works, he'd no doubt have found the prospect of using Sherlock's own sister against him a delicious one, even if it is now from beyond-the-grave.
