Sherlock Season 4 Finale: 13 Dumbest Moments From 'The Final Problem'
1. The End Montage
After Watson's rescued, Eurus is shipped back off to Sherrinford, and Mycroft tells his parents the truth, the show sets about completely resetting the status quo.
One last video from Mary - who foresaw such events, or at least similar, taking place - tells the pair to do what they do best, so we're treated to a zippy montage of 221B being restored, and Sherlock and Watson solving all manner of crimes.
It all reverts back to a happier time, as if none of the baggage exists between Watson and Sherlock, and oh there's Mary, as if the whole "I love you" thing didn't happen. Everything's just rosy.
Perhaps even more annoying, though, is that in pressing this reset button, the writers demonstrate in a brief montage they do know what the show is supposed to be like. They've just got their heads too far up their own ars*s to write it.
