6. "I Dislike Being Outnumbered, It Makes For Too Much Stupid In The Room."
Episode: A Scandal In Belgravia Directed At: Some assassins John Watson once remarked that Sherlock would "outlive God having the last line" and in this instance it seems he's certainly endeavouring to. Sherlock would sooner drop an insult in a room full of men with guns than hold his tongue and increase his chances of not being shot. It's all a ploy, of course. Sherlock needs the men out of the way so he can pacify the man who has attacked Mrs. Hudson (more on him soon), but the fact that he chooses his unmatchable way with words as the means to do so is priceless and makes for one of the programme's most darkly humorous sequences.
