Its a credit to the show that despite all the attention given to marketing, the quality of its programming continued to improve. Classic episode after classic episode ran through the Simpsons first 10 years, with season 6 in particular standing out. Despite having a clip show early in its run, the season has 24 incredible episodes that even half enthused fans can quote verbatim. The show came into its own in this season with a variety of styles and themes merging to create a cartoon so full of life it was impossible to turn off. With episodes like "Itchy and Scratchy Land," "Bart of Darkness," and "Fear of Flying," The Simpsons carved its own head on televisions equivalent of Mount Rushmore.
