8. You're History!
In Burns' Heir, Mr Burns is looking for a child to inherit his fortune when he dies and he advertises the auditions in the movie theater during the Lobby ads. TV audiences may remember Homer screaming immediately after Burns introduces himself, but the extended scene actually shows why Homer is afraid. "He's going to fire me!" cries a panic stricken Homer. Right on cue, a smiling Burns says to the audience "Don't worry I'm not here to fire anyone, except you. Third row, second seat. You're history!" The unnamed man in said seat then breaks down in tears and runs out of the theater sobbing. We all love some good old fashioned evil from Monty Burns and his prerecorded firing is Burns at his best. Especially when it's immediately followed up by a cheery song and dance number.
