The Simpsons: 10 Throwaway Lines That Would Have Made Great Episodes

5. The Aberdeen Strangler

Groundskeeper Willie seems to have very dark, if inconsistent past. He has lived everywhere in Scotland, from Edinburgh and Glasgow, to Aberdeen and North Kilt Town. His father was hung for stealing a pig, although we meet his father when Homer and Mr Burns capture the Loch Ness Monster. He claims to have died in a coal miners strike, Superintendent Chalmers revealed that Willie is an escaped mental patient, and he seems to have sexual desires towards his own tractor. However our favorite insight into Willie's past came in "The Dad Who Knew Too Little". Private Dick Dexter Colt runs into Willie while searching through Lisa's locker, and remarks that Willie is the spitting image of the Aberdeen Strangler. Does it sound dark if we demand to see this side of Willie's character explored through flashbacks? Well we've only seen two Willie-centric stories: "My Fair Laddie" and the Treehouse of Horror short "Nightmare on Evergreen Terrace." Remember which one was better? We'd rather see Willie strangling his way across Aberdeen than see him get turned into a proper gentleman any day of the week.

As a wrestling fan I've flown across the Atlantic for the last five years specifically to attend WrestleMania (28 and 30) as well as TNA, ROH, Evolve, Chikara and most recently PWG. I may have a problem! But if you're reading my work then you probably love wrestling too, so lets focus on that!
