The Simpsons: 10 Throwaway Lines That Would Have Made Great Episodes

4. Grampa And Hitler

The Simpsons Hitler The Patriarch of the Simpson family has lived a very long and interesting life. He's just not very good at retelling it. Or remembering most of it. Over the years we've heard stories of his run-ins with the likes of JFK, Clark Gable and Joseph Stalin. But one historical figure who appears more than any other is Adolf Hitler, with whom Abe Simpson has had something of a love/hate relationship. He first met Hitler while posing as a burlesque dancer during WWII where Hitler seemed more than convinced with Abe's performance as a woman. Subsequently, he tried to assassinate Hitler on two separate occasions. Once during the war, where he was foiled by Monty Burns, and again, at the Olympics, where he missed and shot another assassin who had been about to kill the Fuhrer. Concluding the story, Grampa says the next time he saw Hitler, they had dinner and laughed about it. Now we've seen flashbacks detailing Abe's past as leader of the Flying Hellfish, Jazz Pianist, treacherous mountain climber, evil heel wrestler Glamorous Godfrey and neglectful husband and father. But what we all really want to see is an episode detailing Grampas complicated relationship with Hitler, with perhaps a few appearances from young Monty Burns.

As a wrestling fan I've flown across the Atlantic for the last five years specifically to attend WrestleMania (28 and 30) as well as TNA, ROH, Evolve, Chikara and most recently PWG. I may have a problem! But if you're reading my work then you probably love wrestling too, so lets focus on that!
