The Simpsons: 12 Guest Stars Who Surprisingly Parodied Themselves

2. Julian Assange

Episode: At Long Last Leave To celebrate its 500th episode, The Simpsons grabbed the zeitgeist with both hands and nabbed controversial figure Julian Assange as a special guest appearance. The storyline sees the family evicted from Springfield and forced to live in the Outlands, where they happen to stumble upon Wikileaks Headquarters. And who knew that Assange (who had to record his lines over the phone while under house arrest in London) could be such an intensely private neighbour?
Bart: How are you doin', Mr. Assange? Assange: That's my personal information, and you have no right to know about it.
Later we see him approach the doors of Wikileaks HQ, take a furtive glance behind his shoulder and quickly tap in the pass code: 1234. Once more, the best comedy is in the smallest of details.
