The Simpsons: 12 Things You Missed If You Stopped Watching in 2000

11. Treehouse of Horror XXV (This Year's Halloween Special)

Maybe you're one of those viewers who just tunes in for the annual Simpsons Halloween special, Treehouse of Horror. Maybe you still watch the show week in, week out. If you're in those categories, you were in for a treat last week. However, if you stopped watching in 2000, you've missed a few good segments - though they definitely struggled for a while. Season 26, featuring the twenty-fifth installment of Treehouse of Horror, however, was an excellent one. The opening segment, "School Is Hell," had Bart and Lisa going to a high school located in, you guess it - hell. There, Lisa is popular (which causes it to snow, proving it would indeed be a cold day in hell before she ever became popular), and Bart is a straight A student thanks to his mastery of torture and other foul things. That segment was the highlight of the episode, but a solid spoof of A Clockwork Orange, and the Simpsons meeting the Tracey Ullman versions of themselves (complete with the old-style voices), equaled one of the best Treehouse episodes in years.
