16. Five-Fingered Deity
Episode: Various Once you get past the obvious differences in skin, one of the things which separates us from the Simpsons is that we have five fingers while they must suffer through life with four. This must surely slow down their typing speed, have a negative effect on their ability to play Xbox and make it harder to play piano (indeed Bart had to fake it in 'The Fabulous Faker Boy'). In the world of The Simpsons, having five fingers is reserved for only God and Jesus. Clearly Groening and the gang determined that the Holy characters had to be separated from the sinful ranks of the likes of Sideshow Bob, Moe Szyslak and Mr Burns somehow (though one image of Monty does show him with five fingers make of that what you will).
