Since its creation in 1949, Lego has become a social and cultural phenomenon, with the plastic building bricks spanning movies, games, competitions and even six themed amusement parks. It was only a matter of time then until the Ole Kirk Christiansen-invented toy would end up being paid tribute to on The Simpsons, and so it told in this particular gag.
