The Simpsons: 5 Characters We Want To See Killed Off

2. Grandpa

Grandpasimpson Another serious storyline the show's writers could come up with, and one that, like Moe's, would tug on the heartstrings, is the death of Homer's father, Abe Simpson. It's unknown how old Abe is, but he frequently tells stories of how he is a veteran of both World War I and World War II, seemingly placing him at over 100 years old. Which makes us wonder, is it time for the crusty Simpson Snr. to snuff it? Voiced by Dan Castellaneta, episodes featuring Grandma revolve around his senility and abandonment in a retirement home by his family, who do their best to avoid contact with the OAP. Abe has an uneasy relationship with Homer as it is hinted he was emotionally abusive to his son growing up, though Homer does show that he genuinely loves his father at times. We've seen the death of Homer's mum, Mona, which was quite emotional, so is it time for Grandpa to snuff it too in final scenes that may bring him closer to his son? Surely he can't live forever. Odds at 8/1 say he won't.
