Much like Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Smallville is one those genre shows that continues to have a ridiculously huge and passionate fan base so many years after it aired its final episode.
After ten seasons and 217 episodes, this Tom Welling Superman-in-waiting show finally concluded in May 2011, meaning that we’re closing in on ten years since Smallville’s series finale. Considering this was initially intended to be a show about a young Bruce Wayne, it’s testament to Smallville’s crew and cast that they managed to spin the adventures of Clark Kent into such a high quality, lengthy affair.
While Welling’s Clark was obviously joined by so many characters on a permanent basis during the show’s run, another brilliant part of Smallville was the slew of characters who had more supporting or even cameo roles in show. Lex Luthor, Chloe Sullivan, Lana Lang, Lois Lane et al were regular parts of Smallville, but so many others had one-time outings that still remain fondly thought of to this day.
