Smallville Quiz: Who Said It – Lex Luthor Or Lionel Luthor?
Which Luthor said it?
While the world of TV and streaming services are these days rife with capes ‘n’ tights offerings like The Flash, Supergirl, Black Lightning and Helstrom, one standout precursor to what we see today is of course Smallville.
For ten seasons, Smallville chronicled the ascension of Clark Kent from shy schoolboy to the all-powerful Man of Steel, Superman. Sure, the show had its fair share of ups and downs along the way, yet the overall feeling towards Smallville is a positive one. For many, it was just great to get to see so many heroes and villains of DC Comics make appearances, while likewise we got to see Clark slowly but surely grow into the greatest hero of them all.
The old saying is that you can’t have a great hero without having a great villain, and in Lionel Luthor and his son Lex we got to see some marvellously sinister rogues at play. Both Lionel and Lex did obviously have their moments as the good guys of Smallville, yet you always knew that the more chilling and clinical side of these Luthors was never too far away.
How well do you remember Smallville’s Lionel and Lex? Here we’ve got a line of dialogue said by one of these nefarious sorts – you just have to identify whether it was father or son who spouted said line.
