Sons Of Anarchy 7.11 Review - 5 Talking Points From Suits Of Woe

5. Juice Completes His Penance

We€™ve gone on quite the ride with Juan Carlos Ortiz over the past several seasons, with his journey out, in and back out of the club€™s good graces providing quite the harrowing experience. He€™s gone from being a background player and sometime comic relief to one of the central characters of the show, a human chess piece essential to the advancement of the plot. When he arrived in the boiler room with a strung-up Henry Lin, assuring him that he would be spared in exchange for revealing the identity of the rat, his sincerity seemed genuine and even had us believing that Lin would leave that room with his life. But that wasn€™t to be, and upon the revelation that Barosky€”not Jury€”was the rat, Juice drove a shank through the Triad leader€™s throat. He did this with very little emotion, illustrating just how broken he€™s become. This was a young man who always had a somewhat stronger sense of compassion that most of his cohorts, and he€™s been reduced to someone€™s personal attack drone. Despite the fact that he had now done everything Jax had asked of him, we weren€™t gullible enough to think he had earned his way back into his kutte, and that reality was about to play out in the most powerful scenes in SoA history.
