Sons Of Anarchy 7.11 Review - 5 Talking Points From Suits Of Woe
4. "Thank You For Telling Me The Truth. I'll Make Sure It's Quick."
Sons Of Anarchy has given us more than a fair share of gut-wrenching moments - Abels kidnapping, Tig's daughter being burned alive while he watched, the death of Donna, Opie and Tara - but none of those carried the same impact as the scene between Jax and Juice in the prison interrogation room. We cant say enough about the performance of Charlie Hunnam and Theo Rossi here. Hunnams Jax, who has spent all season burying his grief beneath rage, was no longer able to keep up that shield and his anguish and heartache at the loss of his wife, mixed with the reality of who was at fault finally brought the walls he had erected around himself crashing down. On the other hand, Theo Rossi portrayed Juice as a sad, scared little boy, fully aware of the carnage his confession was about to cause, but out of an unrequited sense of loyalty delivered it anyway. The way Jax pleaded with him was heartbreaking, and Juice's chilling recanting of the events in question is something that will no doubt haunt his nightmares for the remainder of his years. There were no explosions, motorcycles, gunfire or bloodshed needed for this scene. Just two actors at the pinnacle of their profession laying their souls bare for the audience to witness.
