Sons Of Anarchy 7.3 - 5 Talking Points From "Playing With Monsters"
4. Juice & Chibs Say Goodbye
Juice has always felt like the innocent, naïve little brother of the more vicious and weathered Sons of Anarchy, so to see him fall so far and in so much pain with nowhere to turn has been hard to watch. Hes gone from a light-hearted character that was always good for a smile or two to a broken man who has one foot dangling over the ledge. Even though he knows the club wants him dead, he make one last futile effort to reach out to the member he most connects with: Chibs. His meeting, facilitated by Unser under false pretenses to protect the former sheriff, was a last ditch effort to reach out to SAMCRO and try and earn his way back in. But a third chance for absolution was not granted, and Juice told his former friend he loved him before departing Charming for hopefully (for his own well-being, at least) the last time. The entire scene in the diner was white-knuckle tension, as you could feel the range of emotions running through both men, and when Chibs responded to Juices pleas for forgiveness with his suggestion of suicide, our hearts broke alongside Juices. Obviously Juice isnt going to disappear because he feels like the jenga block that will cause the whole tower to fall regarding Taras murder but as fans of the character we want to see him getaway rather than meet with Mr. Mayhem.
