Sons Of Anarchy: 10 Most Hated Episodes

6. One One Six (S6E2)

The school shooting that kicked off season six looked like it was going to be something big moving forward. It was an explosive start to the season, and it furthered a lot of smaller narratives like Lee Toric's quest for revenge and Nero's moral struggles, but not much more than that.

Such a controversial topic, particularly with how liberally gun violence was utilised on show through the entirety of the series, was bound to ruffle a lot of feathers, but it seemed to be included just for the sake of it. The ripple effect of the shooting was felt in further episodes, but as soon as one episode later, the event itself seemed to be forgotten.

Instead of the shooting, it was about the heat it brought onto the club. Such a tragic event seemed almost to be an afterthought, and many fans watching believed that it was in poor taste for something like this to be used in such a way.

By the end of 'One One Six', most of the people involved in the shooting were dead. Yes, it kicked off some narratives for the rest of the season, but this could have been achieved with something much less distressing and controversial, surely?
