Sons Of Anarchy: 10 Most Hated Episodes

Sons Of Anarchy Jax Fun Town
FX

This list is full of moments within Sons of Anarchy that crossed the kind of line the show had flirted with throughout the entire run. The opener of season five is one such episode, in which Tig was punished by Damon Pope in the most brutal of ways.

After Jax and Unser framed the One-Niners for shooting Clay, Tig took off in a misguided hunt for revenge. He aimed to run over Laroy in broad daylight, but he actually hit and killed his target's girlfriend and Damon Pope's daughter, Veronica. This was the first innocent woman to be killed in this episode.

The second came in a far more brutal way that was too much to watch. Damon Pope had Tig chained up, just out of reach of his own daughter Dawn, as she was set alight. He had to watch as poor Dawn, who was just as innocent as Veronica, was burned alive.

No one needed to see this. Revenge was to be expected in a show like Sons of Anarchy, but this was way too far, and is genuinely difficult to watch. Surely there were other ways, less traumatising for the audience, to show how ruthless Damon Pope supposedly was?
