Sons Of Anarchy 7.12 Review - 5 Talking Points From Red Rose

5. Unser Learns The Truth

All season long Wayne Unser has been on a mission to find Tara's killer, to help assuage himself of the guilt he feels for not protecting her like he vowed and to atone for that mistake. He wants to right that wrong, but when the reality of who the murderer was is thrust upon him, it all but destroys him. Dayton Callie is one of the many unsung stars of this show, and his performance this season has been his best of the series. With very little left to live for, only one thing was driving him to keep breathing and when that was laid before him, it broke him. When Jax shared the secret that of what happened to his wife, you could see the life being sucked out of the former chief, and similar to how viewers felt last week after the truth was finally revealed it seemed as if his all-consuming need to know was something he instantly regretted. Some buried secrets are better off left in the ground.
