2. Unser Is Piecing It Together
At the end of the episode we're given the reveal that Unser is the one responsible for tipping Sheriff Jerry off about Henry Lin and the Triad's attack on Diosa. The weathered, old ex-cop's body may be dying a slow, agonizing death but he still has his wits about him. This is a different situation between he and the Sons than in years past because Wayne is actually trying to solve these crimes rather than just run interference and sweep them under the rug. His evolution as one of the only people within SAMCRO's inner circle that can see the toll the life is taking on the Sons, their families and the entire town has been captivating. Here's a guy who was basically a neutered lacky for years, but now he's seen enough bloodshed and wants things to calm down before any more bodies drop. His unrequited love for Gemma has always kept him in check, but will his respect for Tara and compassion for Thomas and be Abel as well as Officer Eglee be enough to wipe away the rose-colored tint of his glasses and allow him to finally see the matriarch of SAMCRO for the monster she truly is? Will he the one to bring the situation between Gemma and Tara to light? And will he be instrumental in the resolution of Juice's story?
