Sons Of Anarchy 7.5 Review - 5 Talking Points From Some Strange Eruption

1. Gemma's Life Is In Juice's Hands

Gemma Teller has taken a huge step in her continuing campaign to go down as the most despicable television character in the history of the medium. Even though we all saw it coming, the fact that she was going to betray Juice--a man who risked everything for her, murdered a sheriff, and put his trust in her when he had no one left to turn to--and take his life to protect her secret is appaling. Katey Sagal is so detached from the memory of Peggy Bundy that we often forget it's even the same person. If she doesn't win awards for her portrayal of Gemma there is no justice in the world. And while we're on the subject of justice, no one is more deserving of a bullet than Gemma, but something tells me that Juice won't be the one to fire it. In all likelihood he will abandon her in the desert to fend for herself, making his way back home as we see him appeal to Alvarez in the previews for next week's episode. There's no way that Gemma dies without Jax learning the truth of what happened between her and Tara, and since we know she won't be the one confessing, Juice has to walk away, at least for a little while longer. Had Ortiz suqeezed that trigger and put Gemma down for good, it would have been cathartic to see her pay for her sins, but also a robbery of one of the most deliciously evil characters ever. Not yet.
