He misled Eli, he used Bobby's past indiscretions with Luanne to force Otto to turn on the club, and he exploited Juice's heritage, all in the name of his RICO case.

He may have come closer than most to bringing SAMCRO to its knees, but there is no denying that he was just too wonderfully eccentric to dislike. He took meetings upside down and standing on the table, and he eventually had Juice's past removed from the records to protect him, even though he didn't have to.

Eli struggled to get past the fact that Potter was an odd dude, but it simply made him more entertaining. The Sons of Anarchy were handcuffed for some time by the threat of the RICO case he put together, but at least he put a stop to Jacob Hale and his Charming Heights proposal simply because he didn't like the Mayor and wanted at least a small win for the good guys.
