When Lyla was beaten and tortured by the Ghanezi brothers, the Sons of Anarchy went to make sure it never happened again. To anyone. They attacked the pornography producers in the Stockton Port, and for the first time were introduced to Charlie Barosky.

The former dirty cop ran these ports, oversaw everything that happened, and took a healthy and usually unfair cut for his troubles. He helped the Sons shut down the Ghanezi brothers, stop Alice Noone's child pornography business, and gave them a protected warehouse in which to store the guns they stole from Henry Lin.

However, Charlie proved that he couldn't be trusted when he sold the MC out to Lin. For far more money than the Sons were paying him, Charlie told Lin that it was SAMCRO that attacked him, which directly led to the deaths of West and Colette, and eventually Bobby.

Barosky was loyal only to his own financial situation, and his betrayal of the club's trust earned him a death sentence.
