9. Half-Sack
Technically, Half-Sack was never voted in as a full member of the Sons of Anarchy. He was a prospect throughout seasons one and two, and though the club would have undoubtedly seen a unanimous vote to welcome him in, he died before this was possible.
It was for the same reasons he died as would have ultimately earned him his full patch. He had guts, courage, and didn't back down when he was needed. Unfortunately, the person he didn't back down from was a man with a knife and nothing left to lose.
After Agent Stahl pinned the murder of Edmund Hayes on Gemma Teller, Cameron Hayes looked for revenge. He would have killed Tara, but instead found Abel lying helplessly, and took him back to Belfast. A son for a son. Half-Sack was with Tara when this happened, but was an unfortunate casualty of the situation.
There was nothing he could have done more, and if he wasn't there to give his life protecting her, Tara would have been the one that was killed.
