Sons Of Anarchy Season 6: 10 Things To Change

1. Bring In Michael Chiklis

Vic It's time. We've waited long enough for this Shield alumnus to show up in Sons of Anarchy, and every other member of Vic Mackey's strike team has shown up. Kenneth Johnson (Lem), David Rees Snell (Ronnie) and Walton Goggins (Shane) have all shown up at some point over the last five seasons, with Goggins getting the best role out of any of them. Johnson's role on Sons as Kozik was fun while it lasted, and his breaking of the fourth wall before his demise was an awesome reference to his character on The Shield. The strike team haven't been the only former Shield cast mates of Chiklis' to show up on the show though. Early on in season one Jay Karnes (Dutch) came onto the scene as crazed stalker of Tara/ATF agent Josh Kohn. Now in seasons four and five we've had Benito Martinez (Aceveda) show up as the second-in-command of the Mexican cartel. With each former Shield cast member that Sutter brings into to work on Sons the hope for a Chiklis appearance grows. Sutter however has said that, while he enjoys casting people he worked with on The Shield, that the two people he would never ask to make an appearance are Chiklis and Goggins because of how engrained into those characters the actors were. After saying this Goggins called Sutter up and told him that was nonsense and to put him in an episode, and we got the greatest cameo in Sons of Anarchy history. Sons of Anarchy clearly takes place in the same cannon as The Shield, as the gang that the Sons often do business with (The Niners) were also a prominent gang featured in The Shield. What role is there for Chiklis in Sons? Who knows. Given how The Shield ended it's doubtful he would ever show up playing Vic Mackey (but how awesome would that be?) although it's possible that Sutter could sweep the rug out from underneath us and set it so that Sons is actually taking place during the same time as the events of The Shield. Or he could do what he's done with everyone else from The Shield and give him a completely new role, either would be fine with me but Chiklis needs to show up before this series ends.
