Sons Of Anarchy Season 6: 10 Things To Change

9. Introduce Incorruptible Law Enforcement

atf There are no purely ethical, by the book law enforcement officers to be found in Sons of Anarchy. Even the two purest cops that have stood against SAMCRO (Hale and Roosevelt) eventually blurred the line a little bit. Roosevelt€™s tactics were more severe of a shift than Hale€™s, but the latter eventually began to see that he could work with Jax to the mutual benefit of the club and the city of Charming. We€™ll never know how far down that path Hale would have gone as he was killed during the season three opener, but before his demise he was shown to be realizing that there was method to Unser€™s madness. Perhaps his death was fitting as it shows that there€™s no place for the righteous in Charming. The first two legitimate threats to the club came early on in the series in the forms of ATF agents Kohn and Stahl. Right away Kohn was shown to be corrupt, as his only reason for investigating the club was his obsession with Tara. Stahl was ruthless, but we never got to see just how downright evil she could be until the framing of Gemma in season 2. The show needs to have someone other than opposing gangs that can stand against SAMCRO. Roosevelt was poised to be that guy until he was overcome with grief after his wife€™s death, but his interactions with Lincoln Potter showed that he had difficulty with the one dimensional outlook of the club as criminals, and not as people with families. He was also shown willingly going along with Jax's planting of evidence at the crime scene of Damon Pope's murder. So either a local police officer, or yet another federal agent needs to stand up to the club and confront viewers with the reality that maybe the boys in SAMCRO aren€™t as good for Charming as we€™ve been lead to believe. Honestly, I€™d love to see Lincoln Potter come back.
