6. Chibs & Jarry Call It Quits
A brief scene between Chibs and Sheriff Althea Jarry led to the sudden and potentially violent end of their little fling, with Jarry emboldened by her pep talk from District Attorney Patterson, while Chibs mind was understandably occupied with much heavier matters. She broke it off, and he told her it was a mistake, but not because he has feelings for her. Its a mistake because cops who fall on the wrong side of the Sons usually end up dead. And he assured his ex-lover that wasnt a threat before warning her to be safe. This was our first glimpse of what a Chibs-led SAMCRO will look like, with the line in the sand already being drawn between the MC and Charming law enforcement. The only frustrating thing is that the entire subplot of the Chibs/Jarry relationship never actually led anywhere. It was basically only a vehicle to fill time, and while thats fine, it was a little disappointing that nothing more came of it. Jarry served no purpose in terms of advancing the plot in any way. Great performance from Annabeth Gish, but entirely superfluous.
