7. The Mayhem Vote
This segment of the episode was a bit of a cheat, only thrown in to serve as a red herring for the real ending. When Chibs led the rest of the Sons to the table for a mayhem vote on their own president, a large part of the discussion was held off-camera, only leaving us with the aftermath and the vote itself. It would soon be revealed that the vote wasnt to actually kill Jax, rather to see him off for good, and the scene was included strictly to trick the viewers. It was nevertheless surreal seeing these men vote on whether or not to take the life of one of their own. Unfortunately it never quite rang true because this show has spent seven seasons instilling in the audience how fiercely loyal these men are to each other, and its hard to accept any scenario where they would be willing to execute their own leader rather than go to war on his behalf.
