Sons Of Anarchy Series Finale - 10 Talking Points From Papa's Goods
4. Tying Up Loose Ends
Before Jax Teller can enact his exit strategy there are a few loose ends yet to be dealt with. The first on the list is the situation with Connor, Roarke and the Irish Kings. The Kings tasked the Sons with finding Connor and eliminating him, thus ensuring that they'll consider his proposal to transfer the gun trade from Marks To The Mayans. In the episode's only real twist, the Sons double-cross the Kings, killing Roarke and striking a deal with Connor to use his rogue IRA connections for the gun suppliers rather than the Kings. The unanswered question is how SAMCRO plans to deal with the IRA going forward, since surely they Kings will not just accept that one of them was killed without demanding retribution. Maybe the plan is for all the heat to be put on Jax since he will no longer be around? From this point on Teller becomes a one-man hit squad, murdering Charlie Barosky at point blank range in his donut shop, and then running into the series' ever-present homeless lady immediately afterward. She responds to his questions of who she by handing him her blanket (in a nice callback to the first season) and telling him "it's time." In the next scene you see a figure shrouded in the same blanket sitting on the courthouse steps as August Marks exits the building, and Jax rises to his feet like a Sith Lord assassin, shedding the cloak and unloading bullets into his rival. In a few quick moments, most of the remaining questions were answered and any potential obstacles the Sons Of Anarchy might still face were eradicated from their path.
