It seems so long ago since ATF Agent Kohn strolled into Charming looking to fulfill his obsession with Tara. Suitably creepy, Kohn provided the first season with an extra layer of building tension, as his misguided efforts to win Tara back managed to strike a rather realistic, uneasy chord. After an effectively suspenseful scene in which Kohn breaks into Taras home and attempts to force himself onto her, Tara shoots him before calling Jax. Rather than shut his mouth and await potential police arrival and medical attention, Kohn pushes their buttons, leading Jax to mercilessly kill him right then and there. Kohns death was the first hugely satisfying death on the show and helped to define Jaxs character and reshape the Jax/Tara relationship. The fact that the two decide to have sex with one another despite the presence of his dead body in the room only helps to add a perverse sense of humor to it all that makes the whole sequence one of the first seasons most memorable.
