Introduced as Charmings new Sheriff in the shows fourth season, Eli Roosevelt was a harder-edged version of David Hale. A good guy with a disinterest in taking criminals down, Roosevelt quickly found himself caught up in the storm of drama perpetually swirling around the club. After having a hand in blackmailing Juice something he ultimately comes to be disgusted with and later suffering the loss of his wife, Roosevelt goes off the rails, butting heads off-duty with the club in search of his wifes killers and initially willing to give up a club rat (Juice) in return for information. Although Roosevelt doubles back on his decision to give Jax a name, the club leader easily deduces that it is, in fact, Juice. By the shows sixth season, Roosevelt is back in uniform, making his way through the season until the moment he finds Taras body, with Gemma nearby, and is shot dead by Juice before he can call for help. Roosevelts death is an added shocker to the events of the season six finale, both for the path it sets Juices character down in the final season and for showcasing again that even the good guys are just as unsafe as everyone else.
