South Park: 10 Best Characters Who Appeared After Season One

7. Stephen Stotch

Many people think that South Park's children are the stars of the show, and they are right - to an extent. While the series does focus the majority of its narratives around the youngsters of the Colorado town, there's no denying that the adults certainly put on a good showing whenever they chip in, and the incomparable Stephen Stotch is one such character.

Stotch was first seen in season two as a background character. It wasn't until season 4's "Quintuplets 2000" that he spoke his first line, and in that same season, he was officially recognised as the father of the loveable Butters. As the dad of such a weird and quirky kid, you know he must have some hilarity up his sleeve.

Well, Stephen certainly does, as his hilariously stern attitude towards his constantly sweet son is hilarious. His ability to ground his child and rampant bi-curiosity were his most significant factors initially. Still, he came into his own as a character as the series went on.

Overall, he's one of the funnier parents in the show, which is why his late introduction is easy to forget.
