South Park: 12 Most Paused Moments
4. The Classroom Walls
One recurring gag throughout South Park is how the back classroom wall changes, naturally to show the progression of the school year. Featuring different posters, paintings, illustrations and drawings, there is always something new to look at.
Most notably in the earlier seasons, there is a board on the left side which displays the children's school work and it features some very funny hidden jokes. The "What I want to become..." board has an illustration of satan on it, whilst the "our pets" display features a drawing of Stan's gay dog.
Probably the best example is the "What we dream" board which has several images of aliens, a brilliant nod to South Park's pilot episode where Cartman thinks he dreamed of being abducted.
There's also one instance where the alphabet above the blackboard is changed. In the season two episode "Chickenlover", it reads "DiOsMiOhAnMaTaDoHaKeNnYbAsTaRdOs..." - this is almost correct Spanish for "Oh my god, they killed Kenny. You bastards!" but an extra H is added.
