Butters is a fan favorite for a reason. He's a little bit of light relief from the cruelty in the South Park world. His innocence is completely endearing and nowhere is it more prevalent than here. Butters' Wisdom "Well I'm just a typical little girl. I like dancing and ponies and getting my snooch pounded on Friday nights." Tropes Tarnished Maybe I wouldn't go as far as to say Tarnished in the context of this episode but Trey Parker has fun exaggerating the tropes of silly horror movies. Why This Episode Is So Good This episode tells the most absurd story of one of the boys, Butters faking his own death and coming to school the next day dressed as a girl named Marjorine in order to infiltrate the girls' slumber party and steal from them a simple paper fortune teller that the boys believe has super-natural powers. It is an episode that captures the nature of childhood innocence. We all must have stories from our childhood about petulant misunderstandings and this South Park episode seems to capture them all. Honorable mention goes to the Season 11 episode 'The List' which involves a plan by Cartman to steal a list that the boys have made ranking the hottest boys in the class by kicking the girl guarding it in the balls and running off, list in hand. "Huh," says Butters "I guess girls keep their balls on the inside of their tummies." It represents a lot of what this episode contains, twisting the audience perception of the often cleverest people in the room - the main four boys - and reminding us that they are still children. I, like everyone enjoy humor that is relatable and whilst I did grow up having baths with my older sister it's still fun to have a flavor of my childish ignorance put on screen.
