12. Fantastic Easter Special
Season 11 Episode 5 Character of the Week
Jesus frickin' rules man! In the great debate between faith and religion one point that gets raised many times is that Jesus wouldn't have been in favor of the church that we know today. Many people say that Jesus would over-turn the hierarchy and invite the people to communicate with God themselves. Apparently these people were right but he would have thrown ninja stars too! Cartman's Wisdom
Cartman: And I want a Baltor soldier doll for Easter, and five Crash 'n' Go RC cars, you got that?! Do you HAVE that?!
Mall Bunny: Ahh, don't you think that's a little mu-
Cartman: Nono! You don't ask me questions! You are a rabbit! I am a human. So if you don't bring me what I want for Easter, I can f**king kill you!
Photographer: Smile!
Cartman: Bye Easter Bunny! Culture Tarnished Easter, the Catholic Church and the Da Vinci Code Why This Episode Is So Good Fantastic Easter Special needs to be seen whether you're a South Park fan or not. In keeping with the first rule of observational comedy it is funny because it is true. It shakes up the traditions of our people that have existed for a millennium, It turns the stone on an ancient religion revealing the network of worms beneath clarifying the intensely fascinating inner workings of humanity's greed and its lust for power. In short, it's an awfully pithy wee episode. Stan finds himself embroiled in a worldwide conspiracy when he thinks to ask why the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ is remembered by people across the world by painting eggs and having the Easter Bunny hide them in the garden. In a plot so convoluted it could rival the Da Vinci Code Stan and Kyle discover the evil of the Catholic Church (oh not like that...), meet a fluffy bunny Snowball and even manage to get Jesus killed... again.
