South Park: Every Season Ranked Worst To Best
22. Season 3 (1999)
Trey Parker and Matt Stone were so certain their show was on the verge of cancellation, they thought it sensible to rap everything up with the movie, South Park: Bigger, Badder, and Uncut. It's clear the creators' focus was on the film because season 3, which came out the same year, is all over the place.
It was the first season that had episodes that centred on the separate adventures of the four boys. This is a great idea in theory but these storylines don't hold water.
But it's not all bad. Season 3 introduced iconic characters such as Butters, Tweek, and God. The Chinpokomon episode, which parodied Nintendo's most lucrative franchise perfectly deconstructed the absurdity of fads. The story resonates with modern viewers more now than ever due to the video game franchise's resurgence in popularity.
