South Park: Every Season Ranked Worst To Best

1. Season 8 (2004)

Each premise of season 8 sounds ludicrous on the surface and yet, the commentary speaks volumes.

The Passion of a Jew seems like an obvious dig at an overrated movie, when it is actually about how society gives free passes to the worst people if they are famous. Goobacks concludes with a colossal "gay pyramid" and yet, accurately demonstrates the illogic of xenophobia. AWESOME-O feels like filler but it ends with probably the best revenge against Cartman ever.

Considering Trey Parker and Matt Stone developed Team America: World Police within the same year makes this season even more astounding. Season 8 wasn't just a return to form; it was The Renaissance of one of the greatest comedies in history.
