Squid Game: Every Game Ranked Worst To Best
It was all fun and games, until the bullets started flying!
Well, who would have expected Squid Game to have blown up the way it has? While other non-English shows have found success, such as Alice in Borderland, Money Heist or Dark, none of them can hold a candle to the meteoric rise of this epic series.
The concept of Squid Game (as you're probably already aware) follows as a group of people suffering from heinous amounts of debt are put into a series of deadly games, all with the carrot of money beyond their wildest dreams being dangled in front of them.
While the narrative, characters, set design, and tension are all massive plus-points for the Netflix original series, it cannot be understated just how important the games themselves are. Seeing these twisted versions of classic Korean children's pass times converted into nightmarish trials is equal parts exciting and disturbing.
However, let's take a moment to examine the games themselves, as when you step back and look at them, some are certainly better than others. The tension and emotion of the characters carry through all of them, but some seemed lame when stacked up against the rest of the bunch.

6. Marbles
Before starting this entry, it is crucial to note the merits of this episode. The sixth chapter of the series (titled "Gganbu") is, without a doubt, the most emotional and shocking outing in the season. You see the devastating loss of multiple characters, and a lot of that had to do with this game's freedom and relaxed rules. With that being said, it doesn't make Marbles any less lame.
In this one, the contestants are taken to the set of a village, told to get into pairs and handed ten marbles each. They're then given a short amount of time to play any game they want, so long as it results in one of them gaining all the marbles of their partner.
As you can tell, this one is pretty threadbare. It made sense to keep this game simple as the episode highlights come from the interactions between the characters. However, the game itself had no specific structure or rules, making it seem less compelling than the others.
To add more wood to that fire, it's also the most visually dull of all the games, and thus, an easy choice for the bottom bracket.
