Mingled into the contents of the third season trailer is the reveal that Geordi was finally successful when it came to relationships. His daughter has also followed in his career footsteps, taking the helm of what fans would believe to be the USS Titan-A.

For fans this is a massive pay off for one of the biggest unresolved and discussed issues that affected the chief engineer of the Enterprise. No better example exists to revisit at this time than TNG's third season Booby Trap. Opening with La Forge in an attempt to woo his date on the holodeck, it gives way to a more technical challenge as the crew battle to escape from the grasp of an ancient, forgotten space weapon.

Connecting, in more ways than one, with a recreation of warp engine designer Leah Brahms, the faux relationship is drastically altered in the later Galaxy's Child when the real doctor arrives on the ship.

Worthy of note too is that in the already hat-tipped All Good Things, the future La Forge appears to have married his holodeck crush yet viewers have to see if this will be confirmed in the Prime Universe of Picard's third season.
