Star Trek: 10 Terrible Scenes That Ruined Episodes

7. Geordi's Indignation - Galaxy's Child

Star Trek The Next Generation Galaxys Child Geordi And Leah

Galaxy's Child a sort-of sequel to Booby Trap, with Geordi meeting the real Dr. Leah Brahms. Their initial working relationship is quite frosty, though she begins to warm to him as the episode goes on. Then, she finds Geordi's earlier holodeck program, featuring a very cosy version of herself. She is outraged.

LeVar Burton delivers a strong performance as Geordi in this episode, though the writing turns him into an indignant man, caught out by Brahms, who proceeds to chastise her for not returning his feelings of infatuation.

The scene they share on the holodeck is an uncomfortable watch. While she tells him how violated she feels by his program, he responds by claiming the only thing he's guilty of is offering her his friendship.

No, Geordi. That is not the only thing that you are guilty of. It turns what was an otherwise harmless episode into something that gives a soft endorsement to incel behaviour.
