Star Trek: 10 Things You Didn't Know About Jake Sisko

1. Jake, Nog, And Jake's Future

Star Trek Deep Space Nine Nog And Jake
CBS / Shout! Studios

Much of Jake's time on the station was spent with Nog, with this relationship becoming as real behind the camera as it was in front of it. Cirroc Lofton and Aron Eisenberg quickly became fast friends. Eisenberg, before he passed away in 2019, spoke about the friendship that quickly developed between them.

Cirroc and I bonded on a completely different level. We had a terrific chemistry off screen that easily translated on screen. I couldn't have had a better co-star on the show playing my best friend.

Lofton and Eisenberg founded the 7th Rule podcast together, which they co-hosted until Eisenberg's passing. The show is ongoing, including a recent episode that took place between TrekCulture, Lofton, and Ryan T. Husk. When asked about the possibility of his return to Star Trek, Lofton revealed that conversations had taken place with Terry Matalas for the third season of Star Trek: Picard that ultimately didn't pan out.

Still, one must never abandon hope - there is still every chance that the most famous author in the Star Trek universe might one day grace our screens once more!
