A safe galaxy is a Human galaxy!

Adam Soong may have felt justified in the 21st Century shouting this from the rooftops, but by the late 24th Century, this took on a whole new level of butchery.

When Q sent Admiral Picard, Seven-of-Nine, Raffi, Rios, Juratti, and Elnor over to this altered version of the universe, things were all dark as pitch. The Confederation of Earth ruled with an iron fist, while General Picard had a reputation that made Gul Dukat seem kindly and meek.

They had destroyed the Borg. He had personally decapitated Sarek. General Martok's skull adorned his study. The CSS Worldrazor looked about as sleek as a panzer tank - this was not the world as it should have been.

There but for the grace of an earlier Picard, the future seemed grim and bleak. Temporal shenanigans, some weird sh*t on the Stargazer, and a couple of familiar faces later, the world was saved. Like many other trips through the looking glass, this one was a scary take on what might have been.
