Star Trek: 25 Greatest Next Generation Episodes
4. Q Who?
A lot of people consider The Measure of a Man to be the first truly great episode of TNG, and it was fantastic, but if you like a lot of explosions, a lot of special effects and a lot of action, you may just disagree wholeheartedly, because for you, it's probably this episode where TNG found its place.
The omnipotent Q returns for another laugh, hurling the Enterprise 7,000 light years away to their first encounter with the deadly Borg (definitely not Swedish).
Trying to prove a point that the crew needs him and that they arent nearly ready enough for what faces them, Q's action in this episode provoked a debate among fans that still rages on 25 years later: is Q really a bad guy or is he like a concerned parent imposing tough love on his children? Picard even says himself, "Maybe Q did the right thing for the wrong reasons?"
