Star Trek: 5 Best & Worst Guest Star Appearances
It stands to reason that if a franchise spawns 12 films and 5 television series that every once in a while you're going to look back, maybe watch a few episodes from 20 years ago and say "Holy sh*t, isn't that Teri Hatcher operating the transporter and then sleeping with the trashy looking alien loner who she beamed aboard??", or something to that effect. Star Trek, as one of the most expansive franchises in TV history, has been littered with a barrage of stars both pre and post stardom, including Kirstie Alley (Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan), Christian Slater & Kim Cattrall (Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country) and who could forget that playful little alien scamp running around the Enterprise in the 1993 Next Generation episode "Dark Page". You may know her better as Mary-Jane Watson in the Spider-Man films, a.k.a Kirsten Dunst. While a great many of these guest appearances will live long and prosper in the memories of Trekkies (or Trekkers to be politically correct) there are also quite a few that stand out for all the wrong reasons, whether they made us want to rip out our eyeballs and shove them into our ear holes, or they just brought about a good old fashioned cringe worthy face-palm.
