Star Trek: 6 Romulans Who Would Have Hated Unification (And 6 Who Wouldn't)

4. Narissa

Spock Picard
CBS

Bringing the franchise up to date is the Cerse Lannister of the Romulan Empire. For Narissa her very existence is all about subterfuge, deceit and sneaking behind enemy lines to seek out information for her Zhat Vash masters.

Not only is she a deep cover agent but one from the super-secretive order charged with protecting the secret of the Admonition - and the end of all synthetic life. As one of the few not to be driven insane by opening her mind to the Admonition, Narissa bears a great responsibility and is driven to uphold her duties.

She began Picard ensconced in Starfleet's security division before being dispatched to the Artifact. Her allegiance to Commodore Oh speaks volumes for the agent's unwaivering loyalty to the Empire. Her only weakness comes in the form of her brother, who's actions aboard the Artifact place a lot of stress on the greater plan.

Ultimately she was part of the plot which caused a great loss of life at Utopia Planitia and the survival of the Empire and its purity are her directives. For her the Vulcans would be an unwelcomed distraction.

A Star Trek fan from birth, I love to dive into every aspect of the franchise in front and behind the screen. There's something here that's kept me interested for the best part of four decades! Now I'm getting back into writing and using Star Trek as my first line of literary attack. If I'm not here on WhatCulture then you're more than welcome to come and take a look at my blog, Some Kind of Star Trek at http://SKoST.co.uk or maybe follow me on Twitter as @TheWarpCore. Sometimes I force myself not to talk about Star Trek.
