The camera passes over two books in Picard's study: Milton's Paradise Lost and The Long Dark Tunnel by Tracy Tormé.

Paradise Lost is an epic poem from 1667 and depicts the biblical story of Adam and Eve's explosion from the Garden of Eden, possibly a hint at a story development in Star Trek: Picard season two which Patrick Stewart referred to as "shattering".

Don't recognize the other title?

The Long Dark Tunnel is in fact a creation of the Star Trek Universe, part of the Dixon Hill series of novels referenced through Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: First Contact, made famous by Captain Picard's occasional romps in the holodeck as the fictional private detective.

This particular title appeared on a holodeck LCARS panel in the TNG episode "The Emissary", very deep cut.
