7. Meet Starfleet
Speaking of remnants, a blink and you'll miss it moment in this trailer gives us a look at what is likely (maybe) Starfleet's 32nd century duds.
In the cute Reno / Stamets banter section of the trailer, those two 23rd century officers (and Tilly) appear alongside a new character wearing a black and gray uniform adorned with a redesigned Starfleet insignia. This insignia recently appeared in a publicity still of Michael Burnham from Season 3 and shows up in several shots in this trailer, worn by the Discovery crew.
Book told us the Federation was "mostly collapsed", but there's apparently still some version of Starfleet out there and it looks like the Discovery crew may be joining them.
