Star Trek: Breaking Down The Discovery Season 3 Trailer

While it's clear the clean and tidy Federation and Starfleet continue in some form in the 32nd century, the post-"Burn" future in this trailer also appears to be the grungiest, most post-apocalyptic depiction of the Star Trek Universe we've ever seen.

Along with a seedy bar in which Georgiou kicks Homeland and 13 Reasons Why actor Jake Weber's ass, we see some kind of industrial setting in which Orions and Andorians work. This is in addition to the footage from NYCC that depicted Lurians (Morn's species), Cardassians, and more Andorians on the battlefield.

All of this is in stark contrast to the fleeting glimpses of 32nd century Federation facilities and a departure from the well kept future we've come to expect from Star Trek.
