Star Trek: Breaking Down The Discovery Season 3 Trailer

According to Michael in voiceover, "the Federation isn't about ships... The Federation is its people..." Nevertheless, starship porn and cool production design are a big part of what makes Star Trek tick.

While there's not a single intact starship in this trailer, there are a few moments set in a slick, white, Federation-esque setting. Similar to in Star Trek: Picard, this environment features holographic computer systems, a technological leap from the 23rd century's more traditional controls.

These clean environments are also stark contrasts to much of the rest of the trailer's visuals, indicating that this future is a lot less united than the one the USS Discovery left.
